Applied Diesel & Power was founded on 17 November 2020 after Cummins announced it was going to cease operations in Zimbabwe at the end of 2020. Cummins had traded in Zimbabwe since 1988 through Cummins Zimbabwe, a Cummins Inc. wholly owned entity. To ensure continuity and provide support to the many Cummins customers in Zimbabwe, Cummins appointed dealers to continue providing the sales and service support required by its customers.
Applied Diesel & Power management, technical and sales staff are all former Cummins Zimbabwe employees. The company was founded by the former Cummins Zimbabwe General Manager and this gives Applied Diesel & Power a unique position among Cummins dealers in Zimbabwe. Because Applied Diesel & Power was founded from Cummins Zimbabwe, the company is in the best position to offer Cummins products and service support because of the company’s understanding of Cummins products and systems.
Applied Diesel & Power is young but the business experience is vested in the company staff who have steered the company through its successes over the years as Cummins Zimbabwe. It is a name and operating model change to a company that has been in business in Zimbabwe since 1988.
Applied Diesel & Power is a service provider to the Mining, Construction, Health, Education, Retail, Agriculture and the Financial Services sectors in Zimbabwe. We offer Cummins products that include generators, engines, parts, filters, lubricants and coolants. We also offer service and maintenance support backed by Cummins warranty on all Cummins products using Cummins trained and certified technicians and Cummins genuine parts.
